There's a number of ways to find Hodgson House, Echuca's B&B on the Murray:

Melbourne to Echuca

Melbourne to Echuca is just over 200 kilometres and is an easy drive. We recommend going North up the Tullamarine freeway, go out past the Melbourne airport and continue along the same road going through Bulla.

Tullamarine Airport to Echuca ( Take the Sunbury exit)

You drive towards Sunbury but just before you arrive in Sunbury there is a right turn pointing to Romsey and Lancefield. (see Google map at the right). Take this turn and go through Romsey and Lancefield. The road leads to Tooborac through winding hills with great views.
At Tooborac, you turn left at the T-junction and drive west towards towards Heathcote. Heathcote was an old gold town and its main street reflects it.  

A great spot to stop for a coffee at the local bakery opposite the football ground and information centre. Continue to the end of Heathcote and you will see a sign pointing towards Echuca. Turn Right here and go North.. We've included a Google map on the right - if you miss this turn you can end up in Bendigo.

Continue North passing the tiny hamlet of Toolleen and follow the road North to its end - a T-junction were you turn left to Elmore.  This road only goes for about one kilometre into Elmore were you turn right (heading North again) and drive towards Rochester. Both Elmore and Rochester often have speed cameras and we would certainly recommend to everyone to drive within the speed limits in these towns

Rochester is 15 minutes from Echuca and if guests are unsure what time they will be arriving at Hodgson House, it is a good place to call from as we know you'll be there in 15-20 minutes. Drive through Rochester following the aptly named Northern Highway and you will come to Echuca.

There's a big roundabout  with a sign pointing right to Echuca near the start of the town. DO NOT TURN RIGHT - go straight ahead along the highway for 2.7 kilometres (towards Kerang) and you will see the Hodgson House sign on the Highway - turn right and we are the first house on the right or river side.

If you are concerned you've taken a wrong turn - don't panic, just call us on 5482 2128 and we will give you new directions.
